HAPPY MAY LONG WEEKEND!
Like most gardeners in this part of the country, May long weekend feels like the REAL kick-off to the gardening season. In our garden the daffodils are STILL looking good and the tulips are just beginning to come into their own. The greenhouses are filling up, the early vegetables are in, and everything is looking new and GREEN, and full of promise.
There's still time to plant seeds - we have a dwindling offering of vegetable and herb seeds that can go right into your garden (hold off on the beans and tender herbs for now - they need warm soil to do anything). Remember that in some areas frost is still a reality, so be ready to cover up tender new growth as needed.
