And enough with the cold and frost already!...
Traditionally this is the weekend we gardeners look forward to all through the long cold winter. This is the weekend that marks the real push to start planting for those of us in southern Ontario. Alas, the cold weather has caused us to hold off on some of the plantings for a little longer. It's hard, but it's still too early for our tender annuals and tender perennials to be planted out with confidence. Soon...in a week or two the soil and air temperatures should be more welcoming. If you have your hanging baskets and planters already out, just check your night time lows and be ready to cover or bring them into the garage. Earthbound will have our annuals arriving for purchase next weekend (May 27th). We have our fingers crossed that mother nature will approve and grace us with some warmer weather! We have some of our vegetables and herbs here already (and we've covered for frost most nights). Fruit trees and fruiting shrubs are looking great! Meanwhile, spring has definitely arrived in the greenhouse -OUR 2023 BROCHURE IS HERE!
